Relive the Spirit of America's Heartland

Explore this premier outdoor museum of 19th century rural and immigrant farm life. Costumed interpreters perform the daily tasks of farmers and shopkeepers in more than 65 historic buildings. Nearly a dozen ethnic groups are represented at the 1870s Crossroads Village and 10 farmsteads, stocked with many rare breeds of horses, oxen and hogs. The gardens and fields are planted with many heirloom varieties of grains, flowers, fruits, herbs and vegetables. Nature trails, seasonal special events, restaurant, museum store and more.

 


Old World Wisconsin: Clausing Barn Restaurant
Enjoy a light meal or snack at the charming Clausing Barn Restaurant, nestled within Old World Wisconsin, an outdoor museum of 19th century rural and immigrant farm life, located in Eagle. One of the few remaining octagonal barns created by Ernst Clausing, it offers museum visitors the opportunity to dine in the air-conditioned restaurant or outside on the patio.
